The UCO Human Resource Officer programme is specifically designed for those who wish to embark on a rewarding career in this field.  Human Resource Officers handle recruitment, career planning, labour relations and personnel administration.

 

Upon completion of this programme, you will be able to understand and apply the principles of personnel administration, identify training needs, understand the importance of good labour relations and correctly handle disputes.  Basic computer skills are also taught in this programme.

 

Human Resources Officers maintain the human resource records of an organisation’s employees. On a daily basis they record information and answer questions about and for employees. Human Resource Officers also prepare reports for Managers. Some Human Resource Officers are involved in hiring, explaining policies to staff, advertise vacancies, and interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of an organisation. Human Resource Officers work with remuneration figures or Payroll information.

› All unit standard based courses are quality assured by one of the following Seta’s: MICT SETA, ETDP SETA or SERVICES SETA.

 

› Unit standard based courses will be followed by a SAQA Aligned Unit Standard ID number.
