A good secretary could form the backbone of any organization.  As secretary you will be the right-hand-person to your boss.  You will have to keep track of all the important contacts and dates.  You will have to keep the documentation up to date and have a filling system where you can access anything at the drop of a hat.

 

It will sometimes be necessary for the secretary to answer questions about the company; this means that you will have to know what is happening in an organization.  Not only is organizational knowledge important but typing and organizational skills are also important. You will also have to be well groomed as you are sometimes the first person visitors will see when they visit you organization. Being a secretary is sometimes a very demanding position but it can also be one of the most rewarding.
